1966 Jaguar MK 2.4

A great condition usable classic

We are delighted to offer to market this beautiful example 1966 Jaguar MK2 2.4 Manual with Power Assisted Steering. Registered 15th December 1966 the car was specified to have the paintwork finished in maroon metallic white with a contrasting beige leather interior and originally steel wheels The car was also supplied by Saville Motor Sales Limited of Stratford-On-Avon and delivered also on the 15th December 1966 to its first owner which was a Construction company based in Stradford-On-Avon which must have been a nice early Christmas present for someone that year.

The car comes with a substantial A4 file with many original documents from when the car was supplied including the green original registration book, correspondence from Jaguar and the original owners manual in the original leather wallet. There is also hand written documents telling a story of the service history to the car and what has been done over certain years. Reading through the file the car was involved in an accident and sat for many years in a garage before being resurrected in the late nineties to early two thousands. This must of included a thorough restoration which would included full respray, interior work and mechanical to bring the car to its current condition. There is also an invoice for new MWS wire wheels in 2005 which have been fitted to the car.

In its current condition this is a very presentable and usable MK2. The underside of the car and main areas usually of concern of MK2 Jags like the outriggers and sills are all in good shape and no cause for concern. There are a few areas on the bottoms of the doors & boot lid which may require attention in the future but currently do not detract from the car. As Mk2 Jaguars go this in our opinion is well above the usual standard of cars seen for sale and is ready for its next custodian to enjoy her.
